Cruise Ship Sightseeing Tours
Day Trips
At G & S we like to offer our friends from abroad arriving by sea, the chance to relax and enjoy the sights of Scotland.
So many cruise companies offer large coach trips that stick rigorously to timetable and can only give you a sample of what this great country has to offer.
We like to take that further and with a personal sightseeing trip, you decide what you see and for how long.
We appreciate that it takes time to disembark from the ship, and in some cases you have to be back early evening because it sets sail again on the next tide, so we can agree with you an itinerary that is flexible and makes the most of your time here in Scotland.
We offer the following, but remember you can use these ideas to make your own personal itinerary
Edinburgh & Roslyn Chapel:
Spend the morning in Edinburgh, starting at Edinburgh Castle, taking in the sights from this amazing viewpoint and either spend time touring the castle or stroll down the world famous Royal Mile. There is so much to see here. Just outside the Castle Esplanade we have a tartan makers to your left and the Whisky Heritage Centre to your right, further down the Royal Mile there is Mary Kings Close, and at the bottom of the Royal Mile you can visit the Queens home when she is in town, Holyrood Palace.
Then after lunch, we can head south from Edinburgh to Roslyn Chapel.
This is a fantastic place to see, and spend a relaxed afternoon listening to the tour guide and looking at all the stone carvings

You can also take a stroll through the grounds of the ancient St Andrews Cathedral or the Castle remains, before popping into Jannetta’s for Ice Cream. Be warned, they have over 100 different flavours to choose from.
We can then head back to the port, or take the tourist route south of St Andrews and show you the fishing villages of Crail, Pittenweem or stop for some Fish and Chips at the Famous Anstruther Fish Bar.
Maybe then, we will head back to the port, so you can rejoin the ship.
